Homerton Housing currently provides accommodation in a Homerton property for many vulnerable people in the community, particularly those with enduring mental health issues and/or learning disabilities, issues with substance misuse, ex-offenders looking to gain positive networks in the wider community, as well as victims of domestic violence and abuse.
We deliver an intense but holistic programme to ensure that our residents feel that they are being cared about whilst they reside with the organisation but are also confident enough to have gaged the skills for independent living once they have moved on.
We have a set timetable that runs daily from Monday to Friday, comprising of various activities. Every activity incorporates different values taken from the housing and support needs of these vulnerable individuals and delivered collectively.
We pride ourselves in resident centred care and support; the delivery of our service, focuses on a specially tailored timetable emphasising the development of skills necessary for a person to become independent financially and to be able to live comfortably in their own accommodations outside of Homerton, all whilst nurturing the backbone of recovery from their various vulnerabilities. Our dedicated team is always on hand, with a designated Housing Officer handling the emergency line out of hours to ensure that all residents feel safe and heard at all times within our care. We take great pride in having a number of talented individuals, as face of an organisation that can provide exemplary care and support for some of the most vulnerable members of our community, emphasising on key skills to empower them, and with time, become role models for those that follow.
Our main objectives to follow are:
All our properties are secure and offer a therapeutic living environment in a positive community setting. Our properties are made secure and are well-maintained by our specialist Maintenance Team who are trained to offer a sensitive and effective maintenance service to all our tenants.
